Odilia Coyotl used to sell tamales near by the Church of St. Macarius, and she fell in love with a priest. Some time later he left the church, they got married, and now they even have kids. They thank the Holy Death for all the favors and promise to visit her altar for five years.

We dedicate this retablo to Saint Sebastian because we were made one for another. When our bodies meet we make love again and again, many times, drowning in pleasure.

Gustavo Suarez enjoyed spying on his master’s daughters while they were taking bath in the river. He thanks Saint Pancras with this retablo because when one of them noticed him, she didn’t report on him, and now they’re lovers.

I thank Saint Anthony because Rosita Perez accepted my proposal of marriage, although she is a delicate flower and I’m just a rude wrestler.

When I was on vacation in Veracruz I met Martin. We had such a good time together that I fell in love with him. But I was afraid he would reject me.
