We committed a heavy sin, trying to bewitch the Fulgencia’s husband. We danced ecstatically and did all exactly how doña Panful had taught us to keep him in love. We were dancing around the fire, when the charcoal began to meow devilishly and the horrible creature appeared to us. We started to pray the Virgin of Guadalupe at once, asking for forgiveness.

Benjamin Camacho was riding on his bike with his baby when he was hit by a bus. The baby flew out his hands. He thanks the Holy Heart because miraculously the baby didn’t get hurt by falling on the ground. Benjamin didn’t get serious injuries either and got off with some bruises.

I thank the Holy Virgin of Guadalupe because my little Martincito became like a dead. We were ready to keep a vigil over him, we had prepared the veil, the flowers, had made his hair, and then the dead baby began to cry. I thank for this divine miracle.

I thank the Holy Cross. I was so unlucky. My husband brought me to live to my mother-in-law’s house. But doña Petronila didn’t like me at all. She made my life miserable, and one day she even gave me a thrashing because I hadn’t washed the socks properly. But the Holy Cross made the miracle and softened her heart, so she doesn’t bully me anymore.

My husband was a heavy drinker, and God punished him with hallucinations. One day the hallucinations were so horrible and he saw strange monsters chasing him. He entrusted himself to the Virgin of Guadalupe, mounted the mule and left the village. God led him to the capital, in a place where several months later with Virgin’s help he was cured. He came back home cured from his madness, and he doesn’t drink anymore.

We went to Guerrero for a couple of days to visit my aunt Josefina. When we came back we found out that our kitchen was flooded with giant cockroaches. They were everywhere, even on the ceiling. We couldn’t get rid of them and prayed for help to Saint Paschal. Thanks to his intervention the cockroaches disappeared. We thank for it.

March 17, 1953, the stove was exploded because of the raw green branch. I thank Saint Paschal Baylon because me, my little daughter and the cat only got our hair singed a little. But nothing bad happened. I dedicate this retablo.

We thank the Virgin of Zapopan for healing our spotted cow. She was so sick after giving birth to her calf, we thought she was going to die.

Evelina Flores always dreamt of handsome man on the horse who would arrive to brighten up her dreary and lonely life. She thanks the Holy Cross for sending Ramon to her. Although he didn’t come to her on horseback but he brought warmth and love into her life. She dedicates this retablo for making her dream come true.

A devil had come to live in our kitchen.

I almost can’t distinguish the words after that. The devil wasted the food or stole it. He caused some damage and maybe push off one of the ladies. They prayed to Saint Paschal Baylon and the devil disappeared. The women give thanks.
