My uncle Pancho and I live in California. One day I returned with groceries for the quarantine and I almost had a heart attack seeing my uncle going to drink a bottle of disinfectant. I thank the Holy Child of Atocha because I arrived in time to stop him, otherwise he would have ended up in the hospital with poisoning, following Donald Trump’s advices.

I give thanks to the Holy Child Manuelito for helping me with diversity in my work and has brought me clients.

I thank Holy Child of Atocha for helping me to keep my great secret. In reality it’s my wife who is the boss in our house and I’m just a henpecked husband. If it became known, it would damage my tough image among the fans and I’d be a joke for my fellows wrestlers. I bring this humble retablo.

The animals from our farm went sad and lost their appetite. We didn’t know what happened with them. They stopped eating, and we were scared they would die. So we entrusted them to the Holy Child of Atocha who miraculously intervened, and the animals recovered and look better than ever. The hens lay many eggs, the cow gives much more milk, and the piglets look fatter. We give thanks.

The manager of the hotel “Arronte” in Puebla brings this retablo to the Holy Child of Atocha thanking him for meeting the painter Frida in person.

1939

The brothers Arnulfo and Armando were playing pirates, and one hit another’s eye with the sword. WIth this retablo, they thank the Holy Child of Atocha for nothing serious happened and it’s alright now.

I was riding my bike, because I like exercising at night, when I suddenly saw a strange light in the sky. I was curious and followed it. To my big surprise I discovered that it was a spaceship. I thank the Holy Child of Atocha for I managed to hid in bushes and the martians that were there didn’t see me.

Fidel Quiroz ate green cherimoyas and got a diarrhea. No remedy would help him, and he implored the Holy Child of Atocha. Fidel got better, could play with his team and even won the championship. He thanks for that.

The boy Timoteo Gomez didn’t want to harm his little brother but knock out his two teeth with his yo-yo. He thanks the Holy Child of Atocha because their parents didn’t spank him till death and his brother feels better now.

In 1920 in San Nicolas my buddy caught me on the mat with his wife. He started to shoot at us. I give infinite thanks to the Holy Child of Atocha because bullets didn’t hit me. She took them all.

Adela Gutierrez was selling her goods at the market when a nasty old lady kidnapped her baby. Señora thanks the Holy Child of Atocha because people helped her to apprehend the kidnapper and return the baby.
