I dedicate the present ex-voto as gratitude to Saint Jude Thaddeus for the miracle that I bought a new oven on wheels to grill sweet potatoes. The old one was stolen from me, and I couldn’t work. Now my sweet potatoes sells are good again. May you be blessed.

I liked American football a lot. It was my passion so I was even picked up by the university team. Although I was warned that this kind of sport isn’t for me because of my low stature and light weight. I thank Saint Jude Thaddeus for I realized my mistake in time and left the team before they sent me to the hospital after so many blows. I’d better watch the game as a spectator.

Roberto Jimenez got drunk and it made him easy to get into the zoo to box with a kangaroo. He thanks Saint Jude Thaddeus with this retablo for he survived the trashing given to him by the animal. Although he was arrested, he didn’t spent a lot of time in jail.

Casilda Ramirez slipped on a banana peel at the market and fell off the stairs. She fell over her daughter Josefina, and they both fell over a poor stray dog. Only thanks to the name of Saint Jude Thaddeus mentioned by Casilda during the fall nothing happened with her nor her daughter nor even the dog. They only got scared a lot. Casilda thanks for this miracle.

I want to thank Saint Jude for we have come back to Mexico. I married an American woman and we moved to US for five years. There I really missed tacos, mole, tamales and all others pleasures of my beloved Mexico. My wife Katherine also loves Mexican food.

Margarito Navarro thanks Saint Jude Thaddeus with this retablo for protecting him during the performance of this antique ritual of the flying-men. He inherited this tradition from his father and grandfather and now keeps it alive.

We fell in love, and Robert even thinks to move to Mexico and to open here a restaurant, since he is a qualified chef. I thank for having met Robert.
