My wife was very angry when I woke up late. She used to beat me with a rolling pin or pull the blanket off so I’d freeze and get up. But since my late grandfather left me a lot of money her character got softer. She doesn’t get angry anymore and doesn’t try to pull me out of the bed, so I can sleep as long as I want. I thank Saint Michael the Archangel.

I was a very attractive man always hanged round by the ladies. I have deceived and cheated on many of them—out of pure vanity. But it happened so Lupita put an evil eye on me and said that I would burn in hell. That night, the demon came to my bedroom, sat down and said, smoking a cigar “Do you come with me, buddy?” I prayed to Saint Michael the Archangel. Probably even the name of the archangel made the devil disappeared. And I promised to not deceive a woman ever again.

I went to put flowers on my grand-grandmother Lupita’s tomb. I stayed there sharing my problems with my grand-grandmother and I didn’t notice when night fell. Suddenly some skeletons appeared and ask me for a dance. I almost fainted, but the skeletons—real gentlemen—held me and literally dragged me with them. I prayed to Saint Michael the Archangel, and he appeared with his shining sword. He frightened the skeletons so much, they ran to their tombs.

I’m a very liberal man and—I may confess—I’m a very good at performing the ballads. I do it with sensuality. But when after my concert on the Day of the Dead three skeletons came to my bedroom I had enough. Also I got scared and prayed Saint Michael the Archangel for help. Thanks to the Archangel the skeletons were satisfied with a couple of songs and my autographs on their CDs. I literally had to push them out because they wanted to kiss me goodbye.

Enrique Romero was sold stolen jewelry, and he was thrown in jail. He entrusted himself to Saint Michael, and the mix-up got cleared. He brings this retablo in gratitude.

I was doing my laundry, when a crocodile tried to attack me. I was paralyzed with fright and only prayed to Saint Michael the Archangel for protection. Then I heard the sound of a sword, and the scared animal went away. I thank Saint Michael the Archangel for the miracle.

I was hit by a bull during a bullfight. It left me wounded. I suffered so much, so I pray to Saint Michael the Archangel for healing me. Some time later I was recovered and went back to do what I enjoy the most—the world of the bullfighting. I give thanks.
