Saint Charbel, thank you for your favors. I prayed you a lot so that I’d find my partner. We’d lived together for two years, and then he left me after he’d found out I had been cheating on him with another guy. I missed him and couldn’t resist to live on without him, so I went to search him. Finally I met him in a bar. I always imagined he’d be dressed in black. So it was, because he loves dressing up like this.

R. G. enjoyed buying women clothes and wearing it until one day he was caught by his wife. He thanks Saint Elias for she was very understanding and even gives him her clothes now, and their sexual life has been improved greatly.

The girl Rosalia Martinez thanks the Virgin of San Juan for her fever went down and she was able to participate in the communion with her classmates. Moreover, her dress was the most beautiful because it was decorated with pearls.

I thank the Holy Child of Prague because since I found out this cute hat—which, as I was told, had been made either in Denmark or Australia—my life has changed. I bought eyeglasses in tortoise shell, a black frock coat with an emblem, then I grew a beard and always wear the same shirt and a strap. Now I look like a college professor or a lawyer.

I’m thanking, with all my heart, the Virgin of Juquila for keeping our family tradition of knitting. My mother and grand-mother were weavers and they taught me since I was little girl. Now my serapes, huipils and rebozos are most valued among the foreign tourists who buy them.

My wife was a compulsive buyer. We used to go to the mall, visiting all the shops there and buying clothes and shoes with my credit card. I was scared that I couldn’t control her. I prayed to Saint James the Apostle, and he worked a miracle. Now my Leticia is more conscious and thrifty. Her previous way of spending would’ve bankrupted me.

I wanted to surprise my family so I dressed up as Santa Claus and got in the house to put the gifts around. One thing I didn’t think through is that my dog Rambo wouldn’t recognize me. He attacked me and chased all around the house. I thank Saint Nicholas of Bari for my wife could hold the dog before he did more damage to the house and bit my Santa Claus costume in pieces.

My granddaughters were playing dressing up in the attic. Anita put on the wedding dress of my great aunt in which she’d died of love. Suddenly her ghost appeared because her dress was desecrated. I thank the Virgin of the Rosary for the girls escaped from the ghost, their fear has gone and they don’t stutter anymore.

I thank Saint Joseph because all my lady friends at church thought that the Chanel knockoff I got at the dollar store was genuine.

I thank the Virgin of the Immaculate Conception for two things. First, for helping me to find a wonderful job. I became a maid in the house of a very rich lady. She pays me well. Second, when she is out I can try on all her shoes, blouses and skirts.

I was very apt at fashion design, and my boyfriend was a good tailor. We opened an atelier, and things went so well that now we have become high-fashion designers. We’re thinking about opening our own firm. We thank the Virgin of the Rosary for our talents.

Ofelia Medina was cheated on, so she put her wedding dress on, since she won’t have to wear it, and threw herself into the lake. But a fisherman noticed her and saved her. Ofelia thanks the Virgin of Zapopan because she met a new love in her savior.

I always though that my husband was a real «macho». So even more was my shock when one day I caught him in my dress and in make-up. But the Virgin of Zapopan suggested not to say anything to him, not to discuss it and just to be like nothing happened. I thank the Virgin because our marriage is still solid, although my hubby secretly continues to dress up.
