Holy Face of God, thank you for your favors. It happened that I got drunk and fell asleep. There was no light so I put a candle. The wind tossed the curtain to the candle, and it took fire. Then some plastic bags on the table took it as well. The fire got to the wooden floor, it started burning. Thanks to a young man who passed by and saved my life. I was only slightly intoxicated but pulled through.

My stove had been possessed by the fire devils. Every time I started to cook I was afraid to get burns because they were causing big dangerous flames. I prayed so much to Saint Paschal Baylon to help me to throw these demons out of my kitchen. The saint herald me and gave me an advice in my dream to sprinkle my stove with holy water. I did so, and it helped. The devils never came back to disturb me.

We were chatting and forgot that we left a pot with mole on the stove. We were cooking it to sale. Then we went to the market for turkey, and when we were back, we saw that the pan had been completely on fire and almost burnt our kitchen. My friend and I desperately prayed Saint Paschal for help and began to extinguish the fire with the pot with water. We managed to do so avoiding big fire, and we thank the saint.

Night of August 21, 1918, I was sleeping with my baby, and a fire broke out. A burning beam fell on us but I managed to get through the flames with my baby. The Virgin of Guadalupe saved us, and I bring her this retablo.

I stopped at the Retoño Mansion. 11 p.m., I was peacefully sleeping with my baby-girl when a big fire that took all the house woke us up. Although I wasn’t feeling well because of shock and fright, I managed to get out without burns. It was a real miracle of the Virgin of Guadalupe whom I entrusted myself that desperate moment.
