There was an epidemic in the village that infected the animals. With all my faith, I entrusted myself to the Virgin of Guadalupe so that she would save my animals. They were saved, didn’t got infected and stayed in good health. They are all I have, and I thank you. May you be blessed, Virgin.

The mariachi band “Sun of Tecamachalco” thanks Saint Cecily with this retablo because she finally made Lupita, our singer, understand that she was a horrible singer and with her howl we were only loosing clients and offers. Now we are better. Since Lupita dedicated herself to the trumpet we are very happy.

My mother-in-law always criticized my food because she didn’t like me as a daughter-in-law. It was very difficult for me when we were eating. I was in such despair so I entrusted myself to Saint Paschal, and little by little she changed her attitude towards me. Now she even admits that I cook very well, and when we eat we are all peaceful.

May you be blessed!

I was desperate after I had been fired. I didn’t know how I would provide for my family. Then I had an idea to sell tacos by nights. I entrusted myself to Saint Jude Thaddeus, so he would help me. With his divine help I’m doing pretty well and I have many clients. May you be blessed.

I invited my girlfriend over for dinner. I wanted to impress her and decided to cook something without knowing how to cook at all. So I almost burnt my entire kitchen. I thank Saint Paschal Baylon because nothing serious happened, and I promise to take cooking lessons.

Tired from constant abuses and humiliation from the owners of the weaving factories in Rio Blanco, who, felt protected by the regime of don Porfirio Diaz, had forced us to slave labour for a scanty pittance, we went on strike for our rights to dignity and justice. Not far away from the factory, we were caught and repressed. They started to chase and catch us. On that tragic day, January 7, 1907, hundreds of our workers companions, with the wives and the children, were murdered on the streets of Orisaba, Veracruz, by the three cavalry battalions commanded by the general Rosalio Martinez. I give thanks to the Lord of Sacromonte because I managed to escape and hide myself in Amecameca, Puebla, from where I thank you now.
