When my girlfriend and I were walking in the park, a stunning blonde girl passed near by. I couldn’t help it and looked at her legs. Bad luck, my girlfriend noticed it and gave me a tremendous blow in the head. I thank Saint Martha because I managed to talk it over with my girlfriend so she didn’t dump me over this embarrassing misunderstanding.

Thank you, Virgin of Guadalupe, for saving me during that accident. January 1958, I was crossing a street and was hit by a car. My hip was broken, and I couldn’t walk for a year. I used a wheelchair. I prayed the Virgin of Guadalupe to help me to recover after many surgeries.

The boy Pablo Gonzalez was molesting the piglets of a pig. She got angry and bit his ankle. The parents thank Saint Augustine for the boy has been out of the hospital and got rid of the infection.

Virgin of San Juan, thank you for your help. I went to the cattle yard to give some water to Chaparro (The Shorty). That’s how I call my bull because he wouldn’t grow. I didn’t notice he wasn’t tied, and I thought he was sleeping as usual. But the bull chased me and pierced my leg. The wound wasn’t deep but the blow was so strong, I was kicked out of the yard.

Pablo Telles tried to make a new weightlifting record and hurt his knee in this attempt. He thanks Saint John Bosco with this retablo for his recovery although he won’t lift weights ever again.

Virgin of Juquila, thank you for your favors. I was going from Oaxaca in direction to Puebla. Suddenly a trailer braked in front of me, and I couldn’t stop in time and hit it. I hurt my legs and my forehead, but miraculously, I survived. They observed me in the hospital and let me go three days later. I dedicate this retablo to the Virgin of Juquila.
