The teacher Maria Molina always fell asleep in class because she had insomnia at night. The school principal threatened to fire her if she would continue to sleep because the children made noise and were very naughty while she was sleeping. Maria was afraid and prayed to the Virgin of San Juan. And by the miracle now she sleeps at night like a baby and never sleeps in class.

I was always late for work because I used to turn the alarm off and continue to sleep. I was afraid to lose my job, so I prayed to Saint Francis. Thank to him I found out that if I let the windows open, the birds that wake up with the sun would come to my room and sing me. Now they wake me up with their melodic twitter, and I have a good mood for entire day. I thank Saint Francis for this miracle.

I was desperate because my son wallowed in vice and drunkenness. I implored our Merciful Lord, and he worked the miracle. My son stopped drinking with his pals and now he’s working.

Since all my friends in the town had already got married, I thought of myself as an old maid. So I agreed to marry Rogelio Rios. He was ugly and corny, but he was the only one who asked for my hand. But on the day of the wedding I realized what a stupid thing I was going to do marrying the man I didn’t love at all. I ran out of the church and went to the capital in my wedding dress. I stayed with my friend Flora. Now I’m really happy and I have a good job. I thank the Virgin of the Rosary.

We thank Jesus because me and my brothers got a job at the nuclear power plant.

I thank the Lord Jesus for giving me the opportunity to orbit the Earth and for working for N.A.S.A.

With infinite gratitude I dedicate this retablo to the Virgin of San Juan because thanks to my job as a dressmaker I could support my daughter Clarita who is going to finish her secretary courses.
