I thank the Virgin of Guadalupe for sending me relief from my painful arthritis right in time, when I needed. So I could take this important ride that we had dreamt about for months. I asked for that with all my heart, and the Virgin granted my wish. We had a marvelous day. I was so happy to move again and to do sports. This favor was so special for me.

My brother Valerio and I went to the desert to pick up some peyote. When the night fell, we couldn’t find our way back. We were scared hearing the howls of the hungry coyotes. We thank the Saint Michael the Archangel for the astonishing miracle he made, when suddenly a magic dear appeared to us. It illuminated our way and guided us off the desert avoiding any danger. Just seeing this magnificent shining animal gave us peace and brought harmony to our souls for a long, long time.

Joaquin Morales had a dream with naked she-devils who started to bite him off. He suffered very much and prayed to Saint Jude Thaddeus. The saint delivered him from the she-devils, and Joaquin is thankful for that.

Doña Rosalia Perez was coming back from the cinema with her children and hit a stray puppy. The children thank the Virgin of San Juan because the puppy has survived and now they keep it as a pet.

Virgin of Ocotlan, I dedicate this retablo to you in order to tell everybody about your favor. I was hauling a fighting bull down to the Huamantlada. Suddenly it got rebel and hit me with his corn. I was scared that I might have gangrene in my leg. I entrusted myself to you and now I thank you for my recovery.

My wife read in a decoration magazine that the “Dark” style was in vogue. She painted our bedroom in black. It looked hideous. But when she decided to change our furniture for black furniture and she bought the black bed linen, I couldn’t take it more. I thank the Virgin of the Rosary for giving me strength to shout on my wife, in spite of being a very complaisant and calm husband who loves his wife very much. Fortunately, my wife understood that I didn’t like the “Dark” style. So now our bedroom is white again.

I thank the Virgin of Guadalupe because I met a very cheerful man to get married. I was looking for someone like him, because I didn’t want my wedding to be boring. And my Miguel is very funny and he’s a good dancer. At the wedding we danced until we dropped, exhausted. I offer this retablo thanking, because he is an almost perfect husband.

Amalita Moreno had some refreshments in the garden, when the cat push a flowerpot down on her. The pot hit her on the head. Her vision became blurry and she started seeing double. She prayed to the Virgin of Zapopan for not going blind. Her prayers were heard and the same week she could see without problems.

September 1939, the hailstorm threatened the Toribio Ortiz’ sowing. But he entrusted himself to Saint Isidore, and the hail didn’t harm his crop. He thanks for that with the retablo.

Since I was little girl, I dreamt about flying. And few nights ago the Virgin of Guadalupe presented me with the flight. You might consider it just a dream, bit I know it was real, because I saw myself the fields down there and the rising sun that gilded the world [...]
