After the freezing rain a tree behind my house almost hit the roof, but then came volunteers led by Yevgeny Grekov. Peter Kojin showed wonderful acrobatics while sawing off terrible branches. I thank my Guardian Angel for sending me these good people.

On September 11, 2020, James Eddy and his son Felix, age 16, went swimming at Bocana Beach. Felix reminded his father about the strong ocean current at the north end of the beach and insisted they both stay close to shore but James, as stubborn as a mule, and sometimes as stupid, did not heed his wise son’s warning about the currents and pushed out beyond the break. Within minutes James was upside down and ass backwards inside the barrel of a large wave. He tried to swim perpendicular to the current but it was too strong and each time he surfaced for air he was pummeled by another wave. James knew he was in big trouble so he raised his hands high over his head, screamed out for help and prayed hard for a miracle. After several more minutes, when he could barely keep his head above water, he saw Viridiana Martinez Rios paddling up behind him with a surf board and Flora Liz Martinez Rios wading outside the rocks. He grabbed onto the board and Viridiana steered him through the rocks and pushed him safely back to shore. James gives infinite thanks to the Rios family for saving his life that day. This retablo was created in honor of their heroic act and in commemoration of James’ miracle.

My house was saved when an airplane flew very low.

When my husband died, I was inconsolable. After having felt a horrible pain, then came the worries that I couldn’t support my two children only by myself. But this year the fruit trees gave a very abundant crop. The Holy Spirit enlightened me not to sell the fruits but to make jam and jelly which I could sell for a higher price than the fruits. Now I realize that the tragedies take a part of you but also make you stronger.

I, Dmytro Kuzovkin, thank Higher Forces because when I was late for a date suddenly my good buddy came on his car and drove me on his wheels so I didn’t get late! Thanks to this I enjoyed company of a beautiful woman. My gratitude is so great that I asked the retablero to make the symbol of the Higher Forces bigger and brighter.

It happened with Cayetana Rodriguez, when she was making tortillas and was sitting naked, a rat climbed on her breast and bit her tit. She implored Saint Paschal and her titty was healed for which she gives proper thanks with this retablo.

I’m grateful to Saint Sava because I managed to catch a wild boar while underwater hunting. It was chased by hunters and jumped to the sea from the cliff. Now my wife, who doesn’t like peeling fish, let me go hunting, with a pure heart, hoping I’d bring home another boar.
