My agaves were possessed by maguey demons. They didn’t let me gather the maguey sap. So I prayed to the Holy Virgin, and she turned them into stones. Now the stones demons are very popular among the tourists. They come to see them, and I sell pulque to the tourists.

Guard my cows, because sometimes the devil comes to dance with them.

Juan Pablo Rodrigez desperately asked the Virgin fro help. His sheep fell into the water, and he thought they were going to drown. The Virgin helped him, and he give thanks.

I thank the Virgin of Guadalupe because I managed to stop taking drugs and I returned home to my parents, whom I love so much. I dedicate this retablo thanking you for helping me to get rid this bad habit.

With machete in hands we rose up to fight for our land rejecting the construction of the airport and ridiculous expropriation. We knew we weren’t alone and with the blessing of the Virgin of Guadalupe we would achieve what we wanted. We showed them that we weren’t going to sit on our hands and we would defend our land with our lives if it would be necessary.

In 2002, there were protests in San Salvador Atenco. The violent mass protests against federal and local government were caused by the planned construction of a new international airport for Mexico City. The construction of the airport was cancelled.

I went for a walk with Ramon, and an angry bull started to chase us. Ramon jumped over the fence leaving me with the furious animal. I thank the Virgin of Guadalupe for two things. First, for I was able to get over the fence and save myself from the bull. Second, for letting me see what type of man I was dealing with. He didn’t care about my safety. And I even considered marrying this man.

A being from another galaxy arrived and got to the animals. Thanks for it didn’t cause any harm to them.

I give thanks to the Virgin of Guadalupe for such a big favor. She made my son Javiercito’s dream came true. He had had an accident, and he was so sad sitting in his wheelchair and watching his favorite wrestler El Santo. Suddenly the wrestler came to him and gave him one of his masks.

My fiancé and I went for an outing. We met an alien family who had a picnic. We were frightened, and we prayed the Virgin for protection. Then we ran away. We thank the Virgin for the aliens didn’t see us.

The death was riding his horse around the town. Everyone was frightened that the death would take someone, so they prayed to the Virgin of Guadalupe.
