I almost made the biggest mistake of my life when I was going to marry Maria Luisa. But there was Luis standing outside the church. When I looked in his eyes I couldn’t resist and we ran away leaving my bride and her parents. They had a nervous breakdown. I thank the Virgin of San Juan because I didn’t ruin three lives. Now I’m happy with my boyfriend, and Maria Luisa already has a new suitor.

I began to see a strange dream in which my cat would go up to the Moon and I would have to climb after him by an infinite ladder. The worst part was that I woke up totally worn out in with a plan in my legs as if I really climbed the ladder all night long. I thank the Virgin of San Juan who gave me an idea to take my cat to sleep with me in my bed. It’s a much more comfortable place than the Moon. Now I wake up well-rested and don’t see this strange dream anymore.

My daughter Rosa and I went to a mass, and the soul of my girl’s godmother appeared to us. The ghost asked us to pray for her. We were scared and ran to the church, where I ordered two requiem masses to the priest. We also prayed a novena. I thank the Virgin of San Juan because my friend’s soul has rested in peace.

My wife couldn’t fit in her clothes. She was distressed, and she put us all on a diet of salad and carrots. Water was the only think we could drink. I suffered a lot because I love food. I prayed to the Virgin of Zapopan so that my wife would give us more food. Thanks to the Virgin she noticed that she lost too much weight in her legs, her most attractive feature. So she finally began to feed us well. I offer this retablo to the Holy Virgin.

Our new neighbor had an enormous and angry dog that scared my cats. I was afraid that one day it could kill one of them. Thanks to my prayers to Saint Anthony the neighbor found another house on the other side of the town and moved there. Finally my cats were saved from this beast. I thank the saint patron.

All the red fruits and vegetables in my refrigerator were disappearing. I was intrigued until one night I went to the kitchen for a glass of water and found out that the thief was a vegetarian vampire. I thank the Virgin of San Juan because my dog barked and growled and bit him. The vampire got so scared, he never came back, lest he decided to change his diet and to suck my blood.

It was very late at night when my sister Lourdes and I were coming back from the movies. We were followed by some skeletons in a red car. They asked us to have a ride. We got scared and ran away, because not only they were dead men but also dead drunk. We thank the Blessed Sacrament for we escaped from these ghosts.
