My friends and I, we all got fighting and arguing because of one flirting girl. I dedicate this retablo to Saint Pancras and thank him for we finally came to reason and made up. And that girl—she can go fuck herself!

Our house was filled with cockroaches. Despite keeping our house neat and clean, these insects came in multitude. They even climbed the kitchen table. Nothing could kill them. So I prayed Saint Francis for help. He made the miracle and drove this creatures away. Our house was saved form those disgusting insects.

It happened at the Veracruz seaport. Guillermo Mendez Velasquez was unloading sorghum when suddenly the hoist cable broke. He fell down the water with all packages and went to the bottom. He was buried under the sacks for more than seven minutes. That deadly moment he was able to implore the Holy Trinity. His coworkers managed to pull him out. He was brought back to life only thanks to defibrillation and the divine intervention. He dedicates this retablo as gratitude.

Humberto Rodriguez, 23 years old, went camping with four his friends in vicinity of Cocoyoc, Morelos. 11 p.m., he moved away fro the group and immediately was taken up in the air by a bright light ray. He was brought right inside an UFO. 30 minutes later, he returned to his friends. They were scared and looking for him. Humberto told he remembered nothing besides that he had been praying to the Virgin of the Holy Heart. He brings this retablo as testimony.

The night of the Day of the Dead I decided to bring some flowers to my grand-mother’s grave. I was going to the cemetery when I found out it was very lively on the streets but there were only skeletons who were walking happily around. I thought I was going mad, I prayed the Virgin of Guadalupe and ran back. When I got home everything turned back to normal. I thank for that.

My son Arturo became a good for nothing hippy. He spent days reading big books and smoking marijuana. I prayed to the Virgin of Zapopan to amend his ways. Thank to her, although he’s still reading his books and smoking, he got a very good job and started wearing shoes.

I thank the Virgin of the Shrine for surviving after a suicidal and badly thought out jump to the benches. I had bad luck and hurt myself badly, but I’m all right after all.
Sincerely yours, Red Shadow

The northern group “The Brave Ones from Apodaca” gives thanks to Saint Cecily for the miracle of recording their first album. They were paying for years at festivals and private events, and one day a musical producer heard them. He offered them a good contract with a label. Thus their dream came true. They dedicate this humble retablo for that.
