October 25, 1958, I was washing my baby boy and slipped on the soap. I fell and hit so bad, I couldn’t stand up. Only my prayers to the Virgin of San Juan brought me the desired relief in the few days.

I give thanks to the Virgin of Guadalupe for saving me from a tremendous viper bite when I went to the field. I was praying to the Virgin in heaven, and that moment my nephew appeared. He helped me to arrive to where I was helped and my life was saved.

Rafael Sanchez thanks the Virgin of Juquila with this retablo for the big banana crop this season, although two men were hospitalized after being bitten by banana spiders.

I thank God for protecting 150 passengers and 5 crew members of the US Airways flight 1549 that departed at 15:03 from the New York airport LaGuardia to Charlotte (North Carolina). Because of an accident occurred three minutes after the departure the pilot Chesley Sullenberger managed to land the plane on the Hudson River. All aboard survived and were rescued. It was a miracle.

The neighborhood of the Rancho de Zorija gives thanks to the Lord of the Wonders with this retablo because they managed to control the fire caused by the explosion of a tank car and for they had only two injured persons.

Raul Arellano enjoyed eating while watching movies. One day he was so excited, and popcorn stuck in his respiratory tract. He started to suffocate. Raul gives thanks to the Lord of the Wonders for he was rescued right away and he didn’t die.

Holy Virgin of Sorrows, I give thanks to you for saving me from a certain death when I found myself as a recipient of flying dive of the wrestler Toro Negro (Black Bull). I only had two ribs broken and one arm bruised.

The devil made my horse stumble, and I fell and hit my head on the rocks on the road. After that I continue to see the devil for many days. The devil mocked me, and I saw him even with closed eyes. So I prayed to the Virgin of Zapopan, and she made this vision disappear. Now I see normal and see no devil.

I was changing a light bulb and lost my balance. I dropped the fused bulb and it fell right where my little baby was. I thought the bulb would explode and shuttered glass would cut the little body of hers. I was frightened. But the Virgin worked the miracle, and the bulb didn’t break after hitting the floor. I give thanks for that.

Anita Enriquez was playing on the swings and the rope broke. The girl fell down and hit her head on stones. Her mother, doña Marcela, thanks the Virgin of the Zapopan because Anita didn’t hurt herself and didn’t go nuts.

The Holy Child of Atocha saved me and my horse from a lighting that struck in a tree near us. We got singed a little but nothing serious happened to us.

August 21, 1966

Camilo Gonzales worked as a bus driver, and he got a route in Altas de Jalisco. One morning he was driving being drunk and exhausted. He feel asleep behind the wheel, and the bus fell over a cliff, in a lake. The driver thanks the Virgin of Zapopan because no one of his passengers drowned and because he wasn’t thrown in jail for this accident.
