Petra Godines thanks Saint Pancras with this retablo for that miracle that El Santo beat the Caveman Galindo when they fought in the “Constantino” movie theater, in Puebla, in 1954, because she bet her friend two turkeys.

An eagle tried to take one of our sheep but thanks to the Virgin of Guadalupe had to drop it because it was too heavy, and the animal didn’t get hurt very much by falling down.

When I was five, a turkey ran after me in the yard. It bit me and chased me up to a tree. It was gobbling loudly and shaking its horrid thing. I prayed my Guardian Angel, and my mommy saved me from this monster.

Victor C. and Cristina M. wanted each other very much, but they didn’t have money for the hotel so they made love in the pigeonry. They infinitely thank Saint Francis for nobody noticed them, although it wasn’t very pleasant because of too much pigeon poo.

We were taking our chickens to the town to sell them, but on our way we were chased by a bull escaped from the corral. Only by the Virgin’s miracle he didn’t gore us, because the chicken ran away and one of them flew right to the bull’s snout, it grabbed him so the bull couldn’t see anything, and we ran to a house where they let us stay until they caught the bull. Then we picked up our chicken and sold them for a good price.

When we went for a picnic, we climbed a mountain and found a perfect place, almost like a cradle, to put our baby in while we were arranging things. But it turned out to be an eagle nest. Thank to the Virgin the animal thought it was his own son and didn’t hurt him. We dedicate this retablo to the Holy Virgin of Guadalupe for such a great miracle.

Doña Romanita Montiel felt very lonely, that’s why she implored Saint Pancras, and the next day a neighbor presented her to the painter Frida Kahlo who gave her a parrot. Now she’s not so lonely, and she’s infinitely grateful for that, although the parrot is very insolent.

I was fishing in my boat and was thinking how great would it be to catch something big. But it was something big that caught me instead. An enormous octopus climbed into the boat and seized me with its tentacles. I was lacking air in this fatal embrace. But then a flock of seagulls guided by a dove distracted the octopus and I got out. I pushed him out of the boat and rowed with all my might and escaped. I believe this dove was none other than Holy Spirit who came to save me. Thanks for the miracle.
