It was late at night, when me and my husband were coming home from our friend Jose Luis. Suddenly a witch riding the animal related to her, that was a pig, appeared to us. I was scared. I closed my eyes and started praying to the Virgin of San Juan. She worked the miracle, and the witch passed without seeing us. She didn’t cause any harm to us, nor put the evil eye. We thank the Holy Virgin.

When I was sick, some horrible demons appeared in my bedroom. They were burning and smoking. I thank the Virgin for giving me enough strength to grab the crucifix that scared them away. They almost burnt my room <…>

The construction of the foreman Margarito Corona dedicates this retablo to the Virgin of Guadalupe because she helped them to arrive to the Day of the Holy Cross without any mishap and to celebrate it with hard work.

The week-end had started very cheerful and lively, so the devil in person appeared to us. Since my wife started her diet, she began sleepwalking at the nights. She went to the kitchen and brought cookies, cakes and fruits in the bed. When she finished with this, she went to take more. In the mornings she didn’t remember her night adventures and thought it was me who brought all the food. I thank the Virgin of Zapopan because my wife finished her diet because by her opinion she became notably thinner. And she stopped sleepwalking.

Juanita Ramos thanks Saint Anthony because she became a professional wrestler’s girlfriend. She feels protected now and very flattered for the attention of people we she walks with him.

I thank the Virgin of Guadalupe because my cat and my bird became friends and live in perfect harmony. This is a great miracle.

I thank the Virgin of the Rosary because in my old age I met a young and fresh woman. We spent time together. In spite of my family’s resentment and the criticism from the inhabitants of the town, I married her because she brings me so much joy into my life, that I hope will last longer. Everybody can say what they want. I do not listen them.

Mrs. Alisia thanks the Virgin of Guadalupe because her son Juanito is feeling well and his eye is all right. He played with the spin-top and hit himself in the left eye almost losing it.
