In order to get to my job I always had to run behind the minibus. And the worst part was to endure the mistreatment from the drivers. Besides, the minibus was always overcrowded. I bring this retablo to Saint Jude Thaddeus thanking him for the miracle that I could buy a little used car. So now I feel better and stopped suffering in the public transport.

We thank Saint Charbel for the miracle. We were permitted to adopt Jocelito, two months old. My beloved Pamela always dreamt about us being parents, so now we’re happy beyond all measure.

My family was going through financial difficulties. I wanted to help them within my abilities. I took all the flowers I was growing back in the garden and went to sell them in the Xochimilco dock. My flowers were so beautiful, I sold them in a moment. And the people wanted to buy more. So I opened a small flower shop. Now I give job for other families who help me. I’m very glad to work with such a beauty and earn money in this way. I thank the Virgin of Guadalupe for my luck.

I thank the Virgin for my partner is so sensible and he always take care of me when I need it the most. When I had arthritis and the pain made me suffer so much, his attention showed me how much I mean for him. And, with his love, I felt better. May our love be blessed.

The mariachi “Voices of Mexico” dedicate this humble retablo, with great faith and devotion, to Saint Cecily for having a lot of work because the tourists who came to the Garibaldi Sq. are very fond of their music and hire them to brighten up their Mexican nights.

May you be blessed, Virgin of San Juan, for healing me from an infection I got from a prostitute. I also asked you so that my wife wouldn’t find out about this. I thank for that.

Blessed Soul in Purgatory, I thank you for delivering me from my ailment. I went looking for a whore and I enjoyed her giving liberty to my man power. She made me, when I needed it most, feel youthful, in my age, and reliable in any bed with any woman who would like to prove me.

Holy Mother Virgin of Guadalupe, queen and protectress of the Mexicans, I offer you this retablo because you helped me with my work as a mariachi here in Garibaldi. In such difficult moments like those our country is going through, the music makes one forget about problems and brings joy into the heart of your beautiful and beloved Mexico.

When I got heavily drunk, I thought I was dancing with the she-skeleton. And my family, I absolutely forgot about them because of the vice. Then I prayed to Our Lord Jesus Christ so he would save me from the vice. Thanks to Our Lord I stopped drinking.

Holy Child of Atocha, I thank you for your favors. I was sleeping when suddenly felt something hit me. I tried to stand up but I couldn’t. The I was hit in the head and I lost conscience. Turned out it was a crane working those days, and it stroke my wall making it collapsed on me.
