Virgin of Guadalupe, we thank you for we met each other 10 years ago in New York and made our love official. But today, after knowing about Donald Trump winning the US presidency, we decided to return to Mexico in fear of being deported and humiliated by his threatening and discriminatory ideas.

It happened in 1953, during the running of the bulls in Huamantla Tlaxcala, Mexico. Young man Francisco de Marquez S. was running in front of the bulls, and one of them gored him. He was badly injured and, finding himself in this predicament, implored to Our Holy Virgin of Guadalupe. He got recovered promptly, and he left this testimony in the city of Puebla.

With this humble retablo, I’m infinitely grateful to Saint Raymond who, all these years I’ve been working as a midwife, has been guided my arms with his light to bring healthy babes to this world. May you be blessed.

The company I worked for many years got rid of me because of my age. I didn’t know how to occupy myself or how to support myself since I wasn’t married. Then I had an idea to use my savings to open a sex shop. I thank Saint Martin the Cavalryman for my shop had a great success. I don’t care what the people say or think—it’s an honest job.
