I was hit by a bull during a bullfight. It left me wounded. I suffered so much, so I pray to Saint Michael the Archangel for healing me. Some time later I was recovered and went back to do what I enjoy the most—the world of the bullfighting. I give thanks.

Pedro Contreras was helping to unload a grand piano and hurt his hands very badly. He thanks Saint Pancras with this retablo for they got healed.

Mrs. Alisia thanks the Virgin of Guadalupe because her son Juanito is feeling well and his eye is all right. He played with the spin-top and hit himself in the left eye almost losing it.

I went to take the tray with the breakfast for my mummy who was sick. When I was coming down the stairs and seeing that she hadn’t eaten anything. I didn’t notice the Jorgito’s ball. I slipped and fell in a very bad manner. I couldn’t move. I prayed the Virgin of Zapopan to not remain paralyze. And she worked the miracle. I only felt some pain and had few bruises.

I was robbed by a bandit who took my money and my horse and left me wounded in the field. I felt life leaving me through my wound. I entrusted myself to the Saint Michael Archangel, and then the Padilla brothers, who were passing by looking for the lost livestock, found me. They took me to the doctor. I thank for that miracle of Saint Michael that saved my life.

With all my heart, I thank Saint Rita of Cascia for helping me to get back in the boxing. In my last fight, I got a very strong hit in my head. It put my career at risk. But I was able to regain my lost positions in the championship.

Araceli Lopez and her boyfriend had sex while drunk. Suddenly he slipped in the wrong hole and cause her tremendous pain. She thanks Saint Pancras with this retablo for quick healing because she couldn’t even sit.

Luna Salcedo was rehearsing her act with the elephant and fell of his back. He fell on the rocks, hit the head and started to see double. She was afraid she would going to be blind. So she prayed to the Virgin of San Juan and now thanks because she sees even better than before.

I, Donashi Azucena from Ejutla de Crespo, in honor and glory of Saint Mary and the Precious Blood of Christ, that protected me when I was being chased in the Labrador mountain and saw a seven-headed serpent. I prayed for salvation and managed to escape alive from that sacred place, although I hit my knee and some tumors appeared with fright after the strongest earthquake we ever had in the history of our state of Oaxaca, on January of 1931. Since then in my town we offer up a giant snake on the Daninyaaloani mountain to celebrate the opportunity of giving and receiving and the fact that we survived, although many compatriots died. I offer this retablo and thank from the bottom of my heart in September of 1932.

The wrestler Jose Luis Fernandez was hit by a chair. His back was injured. He thanks St. John Bosco with this retablo because he recovered very quickly, so he’ll participate in the wrestling championship.

Little Julio got in the pigsty and was bitten by a pig. He almost lost his arm. His mother prayed to the Virgin of San Juan for delivering the boy from losing his arm. The Virgin saved him. The grateful mother brings this retablo.

Teodulo Fernandez got drunk and fell from a second-floor window right on a fence. His leg and his shoulder got pierced. He thanks the Virgin of Zapopan because he was saved by doctors. He offers this retablo as a testimony.
