Ruben Garcia was attacked by some bastard with machete. He chop the Ruben’s hand off. Ruben thanks Saint Juan Diego because he was helped promptly and they managed to stitch his hand back. And the offender was thrown in jail.

Virgin of Ocotlan, I dedicate this retablo to you in order to tell everybody about your favor. I was hauling a fighting bull down to the Huamantlada. Suddenly it got rebel and hit me with his corn. I was scared that I might have gangrene in my leg. I entrusted myself to you and now I thank you for my recovery.

Amalita Moreno had some refreshments in the garden, when the cat push a flowerpot down on her. The pot hit her on the head. Her vision became blurry and she started seeing double. She prayed to the Virgin of Zapopan for not going blind. Her prayers were heard and the same week she could see without problems.

My old shoes’ soles were cracking. Since it had been raining for a few hours, I didn’t want to ruin my new shoes, so I decided to wear my husband’s boots. But they were so big, that I stumbled and fell in a puddle. I hit my back, and it was so painful. I was scared that I’d be bedridden for the rest of my life. My prayers to the Virgin of Zapopan were heard though, and I recovered pretty soon.

The young man Antonio Romero was participating in a nude bicycle race. He kept gazing at one very nice girl and crashed into a car. He hurt his balls. He thanks St. Philip Neri for the recovery.

Lord Christ, I thank you for saving my brother’s life. He was working when logs fell on his chest. In this terrible situation I asked for your intervention to help him, and now I offer you the retablo.

Demetrio Hernandez worked as referee in a championship fight, and he was knocked out by mistake of the boxer «Kid» Rodriguez. He thanks St. Patrick with this retablo, because he only lost two teeth and nothing seriously bad happened. Some time later he turned to work.

I give thanks to the Lord of Hospital from Salamanca for the miracle of saving me from death in Celaya, April 1915. When we defeated Pancho Villa and his troops, the general Alvaro Obregon had his arm blown off by a grenade. And I was behind him. Realizing what happened, I ordered this retablo.

Jose Perez and Gustavo Ruiz thank the Virgin of Guadalupe with this retablo for they survived a head-on bus crash. They suffered only minor injuries and helped others.

Federico Garcia was hit by a bus while riding a bike near by the church. Nothing happened with the bicycle, but Federico broke his leg. The doctor said that he probably would be limping for the rest of his life, because it was a very nasty fracture. But thanks to the Virgin of San Juan Federico got recovered and now walks without problem.

At the Christmas party in the neighborhood I drank a lot of punch with liquor. I didn’t notice how I got into the piñata event and there I was kicked right in the head. I give thanks to Saint Charbel for nothing bad happened to me and I got only the lump that disappeared within few days.

Gaspar Zarate felt himself as Superman and he threw himself from a second floor in order to impress the ladies. But he only broke both of his legs and few ribs. He thanks St. Jerome, for he is receiving treatment and his injuries have been healed.
