I began to see a strange dream in which my cat would go up to the Moon and I would have to climb after him by an infinite ladder. The worst part was that I woke up totally worn out in with a plan in my legs as if I really climbed the ladder all night long. I thank the Virgin of San Juan who gave me an idea to take my cat to sleep with me in my bed. It’s a much more comfortable place than the Moon. Now I wake up well-rested and don’t see this strange dream anymore.

I thank the Virgin of Guadalupe for healing me after a dog bit my leg when I was walking out the butcher shop.

My wife couldn’t fit in her clothes. She was distressed, and she put us all on a diet of salad and carrots. Water was the only think we could drink. I suffered a lot because I love food. I prayed to the Virgin of Zapopan so that my wife would give us more food. Thanks to the Virgin she noticed that she lost too much weight in her legs, her most attractive feature. So she finally began to feed us well. I offer this retablo to the Holy Virgin.

Agustin M. enjoyed having affair with married women until one day, when he had to escape through a window, he broke his leg. In addition to that, he was totally naked and got arrested for obscenity. He promises Saint Augustine to mend his ways.

Leonardo Gutierrez was performing at the concert for Confederation of Unions and fell in love with a girl who turned out to be the union leader’s girlfriend. Leonardo thanks Saint Cecily for he wasn’t killed and only got both of his legs broken, but the girl stays with him.

Ms. Adela Garcia’s feet were very stinky and she couldn’t find any remedy. She prayed to Saint Rita, and with her help she finally got cured. She thanks for that with this retablo.

I cared about the wounded woman with all my devotion, in your constant presence, Saint Francis. At that moment her husband arrived and witnessed this scene. He got furious and killed the dog but left Mariela Luisiana del Corral to me for ever.

Casimiro Rojas was swimming underwater and his leg got stuck in the coral. He entrusted himself to the Virgin of Guadalupe and managed to get out without drowning. He thanks for that and dedicates the retablo.

Carlos Bermudes was installing a billboard when he was blown down by wind. He thanks his guardian angel for saving his life because he only broke both his legs.

Alberto Fernandez broke his leg playing soccer. He thanks Saint Juan Bosco with this retablo because the fracture healed, and now he can play again.
