Doña Marta Rios had a guesthouse, and one day a musician rented one of her rooms. He played saxophone all day long, and poor lady couldn’t sleep for 6 weeks. The musician was a very nice man and payed three months ahead, so she wouldn’t want to kick him out. She thanks the Virgin of Zapopan because the musician got a job in the Morelia symphonic orchestra and now she sleeps well.

Saint Sebastian, we offer you this retablo about our love which was a secret. Now we can scream out loud about it because we got married and are very happy. We thank for being made for each other.

My late husband was very jealous when he was alive. When don Pascual, the hardware store’s owner, started to court me after me being a widow for many years, the angry ghost of my husband Jose began to appear at night. I prayed the Virgin of Zapopan for her intervention so Jose would let me in peace. The Holy Virgin made the miracle, and the ghost didn’t come back, even despite the fact I accepted the Pascual’s courtship.

Elena Gutierrez and her boyfriend started to eat when her food went the wrong way and she began to choke. She thanks the Virgin of San Juan because another person who was eating there knew how to help her since her boyfriend was completely useless.

Rogaciano and his wife Maria Lopez dedicate this little humble retablo to Saint Isidor Laborer in eternal gratitude for their lands are very generous and their corn harvest are very good, with big and tasty corncobs.
