There were a lot of children at the door of the church on the day of the wedding of Felipe Montejo and Flor Ramos. This is a good sign which means the couple would have many babies. Felipe and Flor give thanks to Saint Anthony for his blessing.

The little boy, Carlos Mendes, got in his father’s bar cabinet. He got thirsty and he drank one bottle. He got awfully drunk. His father give thanks because Carlos didn’t die after all although he vomited a lot.

When I was on vacation in Veracruz I met Martin. We had such a good time together that I fell in love with him. But I was afraid he would reject me. So I prayed to The Holy Child of Atocha for a miracle, and Martin agreed to live with me at my house. He knew that I’m not a woman, and he accepted me as I am. And now here I‘m showing the day we met. It is a year since that wonderful day.

When Estela and I were going to church we heard a strange buzzing noise. We turned the corner and we saw a light behind us and after that blue balls with eyes and feelers came out from a ship. They followed us. We ran to the church, filled with horror. We thank the Virgin of San Juan because those balls were moving slowly and they couldn’t catch us. Now we choose a longer way when we go to the church or to the market. But they say walking is good for health and it is an exercise for legs.

I entered in the bakery and saw some devils eating the cakes. For a moment I was frightened but then I summoned up my courage and prayed to Saint Ignatius of Loyola. And the devils immediately vanished. Thanks to Saint Ignatius.

Fortino Ramos loved to go out with loose women until he caught an infection which wouldn’t go away. He entrusted himself to Saint Jude promising to offer a retablo for cure. And now, as he has been cured, he presents it.

The Martinez twins found the pirate treasure in the bottom of the sea. Their family decided to divide it among all the inhabitants of the fishing village so that they could buy boats and everything they needed. The villagers give thanks to the Virgin de San Juan for the generosity of the Martinez family.

Rosalinda Moreno was hit by a car when she was going out of the school. She was hit pretty bad and was taken to the hospital. Her mother, señora Elena, gives thanks to the Virgin of San Juan de los Lagos because her daughter’s injuries weren’t too serious.

Nicho, Joaquin and Calisto Huerta are thanking the Virgin with this retablo because, thanks to her protection, they managed to continue working as musicians. It is what they like to do, and now they have been offered a contract to work in the capital.

I offer this retablo to Saint Benedict, a patron saint protecting from black magic, for making it that way so David Blaine had to come out of his bubble. He had hypnotized all the world with his withcraft, and after this failure people see him as he really is, just a show-off!

Granddaughter of doña Cleotilde Reyes is a very restless child. And at her saint’s day she spilt on herself the boiled stew that was on the stove. Her grandmother thanks the Virgin because her granddaughter Marianita didn’t burn herself very badly.

I kept constantly seeing diabolical apparitions. I prayed to Saint Ignatius of Loyola for help, and after that they disappeared.
