I thank the Virgin of Guadalupe. I came to Mexico City from Aguascalientes to become a matador. Two years later, I had a performance in a town in Guerrero. During the fight I stumbled and I fell right on the bull’s horn. It pierced through my ribs, I got head injury and brain concussion. I thank for my recovery.

I was coming back home after buying a piglet, when a devil made my horse to stumble on the rocks. That devil had been following me for days, doing his shenanigans. There were a lot of cacti in that place where my horse stumbled. But thanks to the Virgin nor the horse, nor the piglet, nor I fell into them but landed on the grass. After that accident I bought a medallion of the Virgin of Zapopan, and the furious devil had to leave me in peace.

Our boat crashed into the rocks because we were listening the mermaid’s singing and watching her brushing her gorgeous hair. We almost drowned, but thanks to the Holy Virgin of Zapopan we managed to get to the shore and to save our boat with the fish. We don’t listen the mermaid’s songs ever since.

I thank Saint Anthony. I was decorating the room for the spring holidays and lost my balance. I felt down from the ladder right to the doña Rosita’s son’s arms. He is very handsome, and we are dating.

Thank you, Virgin of Guadalupe, for protecting us. A cold morning caught us in the mountains near by Gabriel Hernandez. My friend Miguel and I put a fire in a cave. We were talking when suddenly bullets began to fly out the fire. They were firing in all directions, and one hit me. Thank goodness, we managed to get in time to my friend who was a doctor.

Mariana saw my wound and was very worried about it, so she finally agreed to be my girlfriend. I thank the Virgin of Zapopan for this miracle.

The little boy Felipe Lopez had a marvelous idea to put a knife in at a socket. He was hit by a current. His parents thank the Virgin of the Solitude because, despite their son stuttering, nothing serious happened. They ask for his quick recovery.

My husband and I decided to add more variety to our married life. My husband’s idea was very adventurous and reckless. He wanted to jump on me from the wardrobe, like Tarzan. It cost me some bruises and I couldn’t catch my breath for a while. I thank the Virgin of Guadalupe for my husband refrains from these dangerous role plays. Now we are experimenting only with aromatic oils and other pleasant things.
