On a trip to Mexico, I met a wonderful man, and I married him. The problems started when he asked me to cook for him. I didn’t know how to cook Mexican dishes. So I entrusted myself to Saint Paschal Baylon, with all my faith. Step by step, with his help, I learned how to prepare mole, tacos, chalupas, chile en nogada and tamales. Now my husband is very happy.

My husband not only went to live with this bitch Lupe, but also one day he came to take our pig. I thank Saint Barbara I noticed it in time. The saint gave me enough courage and extra strength to not let him take the pig away.

I always though that my husband was a real «macho». So even more was my shock when one day I caught him in my dress and in make-up. But the Virgin of Zapopan suggested not to say anything to him, not to discuss it and just to be like nothing happened. I thank the Virgin because our marriage is still solid, although my hubby secretly continues to dress up.

In 1920 in the town of San Tito my buddy caught me on the mat with his wife. He started shooting at us. I give infinite thanks to the Holy Child of Atocha because bullets didn’t hit me. She took them all, and I jumped out the window.

My husband loved his dogs very much, he even let them sleep in the bedroom. When they got six puppies it became totally unbearable. I prayed the Virgin of San Juan. I thank the Virgin because my husband finally agreed to build a kennel. So I don’t have to suffer from fleas and dog hair in my bed anymore.

I thought my husband snored a lot. I couldn’t stand this noise. But one day when my husband was away I heard the same snore. I looked under my bed in fear and found out it was a house demon who slept calmly and snored with all his might. I sprinkled some holy water under the bed, and the devil ran away frightened. I thank the Virgin of Zapopan because the devil didn’t come back. My husband is also grateful to the Virgin because he thought that it was me who snored.

After my wife died, I felt very consulted when she began to appear to me at the nights. But she talked a lot every time. She could chatter all night long. I was desperate that I couldn’t sleep. So I asked the Virgin of Guadalupe to rest my wife’s soul in peace. And the Virgin heard me. My wife doesn’t come to me anymore, and maybe she found someone to chatter in the heaven.

The Ana Maria Renteria’s husband was a very jealous man. He kept being jealous even in their old age. That bothered Ana Maria a lot. But the worst part was that he wouldn’t stop even after his death. He kept appearing and watching her. Ana Maria was scared and prayed to the Virgin of Zapopan for the miracle of calming down her husband. Then the ghost stopped appearing, and she thanks the Virgin for that.

I married a widower and on our wedding night I found out that every time I looked in a mirror I reflected in it as a skeleton. That was because my husband’s first wife had bewitched the house. I was scared and prayed to the Holy Child with the Ball. Afterwards I ordered three requiem masses. She has rested in peace, and I thank the Holy Child.

Six years after I became a widow, I married a prosperous watchmaker. But then I, being very nervous and accustomed to the silence, went crazy because of constant ticking and beating of dozens of clocks. I couldn’t sleep and I was always stressed. I even had a nervous breakdown. I thank the Virgin of Zapopan because my husband, who loves me very much, noticed my anxiety and took all those damned clocks from the house to his workshop.

I was a very calm and quiet person but sometimes my wife drove me mad. February 25, 1956, I went so furious I even began strangling her. But then I suddenly heard a noise that distracted me. So I stopped strangling her and saw a strange light in which the image of the Virgin of Zapopan appeared. The Virgin stopped me from killing my wife whom I—when I come to think of it—love very much.

My wife couldn’t have children and she suffered because she wanted a baby so much. We prayed Saint Raymond for a miracle, and the saint, in his infinite kindness, sent us two healthy twins. We thank Saint Raymond.
