Jasinto Perez was drinking under the shadow of a tree. Suddenly martians arrived. They took Jasinto and carried him to their space ship. Jasinto was frightened and he started to pray Saint Barbara for help. Then the miracle happened. The Saint herself appeared before the martians and attacked them with the sword. The martians dropped Jasinto and ran to the ship. Jasinto gives thank fro that.

We thank Saint Anthony for the miracle that we finally, after a lot of struggles, managed to got married in the church what was our biggest dream.

Juan Velasquez was water skiing in Acapulco, and a shark started to follow him. He thanks Saint Peter with this retablo for protection so the shark didn’t have him for dinner.

Eleazar Camargo went to the USA to make money but returned back really fucked up. He entrusted himself to Saint Martin and started to sell carnitas. The thing have been going pretty well, so he brings this retablo in gratitude.

My cat and I became old and withered. We didn’t do anything. I was knitting needless scarves, and my cat was sleeping on the cushion. But one day I took three stray kittens. At first, my cat was unfriendly towards them, but step by step these little creatures brought joy to our lives. Now my old cat even plays with the kittens, and I’m enjoying watching them run, jump and play with each other. I thank Saint Francis for these kittens.

In 1920 in San Bernardino my buddy caught me on the mat with his wife. He started to shoot at us. I give infinite thanks to the Holy Child of Atocha because bullets didn’t hit me. She took them all.

Anita Enriquez was playing on the swings and the rope broke. The girl fell down and hit her head on stones. Her mother, doña Marcela, thanks the Virgin of the Zapopan because Anita didn’t hurt herself and didn’t go nuts.

Ana Luisa Gutierrez was very ill and saw the death near her bed. She asked the Black Christ for mercy and saw how the crucifix over her started to glow. Suddenly came an angel sent by the Lord to stop the death. Day after she woke up in good health. She thanks for it.

Tenk you, Louse Herrera for saving me from the fight with my parents when yesterday I came home late wearing only my underwear. I entrusted myself to you, and you cursed them so well. So after that they didn’t say anything to me. You were awesome, Louse!

From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank Saint Ochoa. When my fiancé tried to escape from the church after we had paid for the wedding and also leaving me pregnant, He heard my prayers and stopped the bastard right before the exit from the church. I thank for the miracle.

I give thanks to the Handsome Peralta. My family arrived at the bar to stop me from spending my fortnight salary on drink. But it was my fucking money! So I prayed to the Handsome, who came from the heaven and scared the shit out of them. And I continued to drink in peace. Thanks you, Handsome!

I’m eternally grateful to the Virgin of Guadalupe for saving my wife when she had birth and no one was around to help her. Not knowing what to do I appealed to you. We were coming back from the Basilica where we asked for your blessing as we do every year. Suddenly my wife started to give birth. One woman and her daughter Lupita who worked at the market helped her. My wife was alright, and my son was born safely. I thank you for our fortune and dedicate this retablo to you and to the woman and her daughter. I’m going to name my son Jose Guadalupe because he was born on December 12, 1930, at 12:30.
