My fiancé and I give thanks to the Holy Sacrament because we got married and we are so enamored of each other. On the day of the wedding, we were so happy, that when we came out the church we started running and laughing, because the musicians we had hired followed us but they couldn’t play a tune and were making a lot of gestures.

I sang serenades to my fiancée every week. But when I saw her brother Luis, I realized what my real sexual preferences were. Now it’s he whom I sing serenades to. I thank the Virgin of Zapopan because Luis reciprocates my feelings and his sister forgave us.

I thank Saint Anthony of Padua with this humble retablo because my Maclovio came back to the ranch. He had gone very far away to work, and everybody was telling me that he’d never come back. I’m glad he kept his word, so now we’re going to get married.
