I was very ill with high fever, and the Grim Reaper in person appeared in front of my bed. I tried to scare him with a crucifix, but since he’s not a vampire or the devil, he didn’t paid much attention and continued to crouch over my bed. Then my dog came running to my bedroom, very excited to see so many tasty bones. The dog jumped on Death’s leg. Death was horrified by thinking of being gnawed by a dog and ran away. I felt better then and healed. I’m grateful for staying alive.

I’m thankful and grateful to the Virgin of Guadalupe for giving me the opportunity and for opening the eyes of my animal side to be able to communicate with the natural world. Thanks because I’ve met my soul mate and my life now is filled with love and positive vibes. Eric the octopus and I dedicate this retablo.

I was very desperate when I was fired from my job. I didn’t know how to feed my family. Then I got an idea to sell tacos at night outside my house. I asked Saint Charbel for help, and thanks to his divine assistance the things are going very well. My tacos have become very famous in the neighborhood.

I’m infinitely grateful to the Virgin of San Juan for being able to participate, along with my idol Santo, the Silver Mask, in one of his classic movies “The Mummies of Guanajuato”. I was an extra and was hired to play one of the mummies. Although my face wasn’t seen because of the mask put on me and señor Santo hit me, I remained very happy for living this experience.
