I bring this retablo to Saint Pascual Baylon and the Virgin of Guadalupe for they sent to Sasha Tokmakov’s cranky and shrew wife the book “Fascinating Womanhood”. After having read it, she realized her mistakes and asked her husband for forgiveness. I promise to be a sweet and understanding wife. I apologize and promise to amend.

Florencio Dominguez had too much mezcal and got so drunk he fell asleep in the mountains. In the middle of the night, he was awaken by laments, and he saw, with fear, the Weeping Woman in front of him. He infinitely thanks Saint Michael the Archangel with this humble retablo for he was able to run away safe and sound and promises to not drink ever again.

Although I know that what I did was not good, I thank the Virgin for the opportunity to do justice with my own hands because the government didn’t do it when I was raped by those juniors.

I thank the Holy Virgin of Guadalupe for the enormous talent which the Mexican mime Mario Moreno Cantinflas was born with. His character, humble and innocent, conquered the people’s hearts and got the admiration of the world making him a movie icon.

April 16, 1974, my father and I were at the Arena Coliseo watching a wrestling match with El Santo, my greatest idol. I had suffered an accident which left me paralyzed. At the end of the event, Santo came down where we were and gave me one of his masks. Eventually, I began to walk again.

I dedicate this exvoto to Saint James the Apostle for the innovative work of Spanish painter Pablo Picasso. His works came into prominence in the history of art as he created the cubism and influenced all aspects of art in 20th century.

I asked you so much to not take my Maria when she had a heart attack. Crying, I implored you, Saint Jude Thaddeus, and you heard me, and now she’s healthy and happy. Grateful, I bring this retablo to you and promise to bring one every year while she lives.

Thank you Lord!

In times of the Revolution I was unlucky to run into bandits who weren’t satisfied by taking my horse and my belongings but also decided to hang me on a tree. I wholeheartedly entrusted myself to the Virgin of San Juan, and when they left leaving me hanging there the rope miraculously broke down saving my life.

I put Saint Anthony head down to make him work a miracle of getting me a boyfriend. Then I met Bryan in Tinder, and to this day we are very happy thanks to Saint Anthony.
