Saint Sebastian, we offer you this retablo about our love which was a secret. Now we can scream out loud about it because we got married and are very happy. We thank for being made for each other.

Our life was unhappy. With all economic troubles, my only son and I lack communication and I didn’t pay attention who his friends were. His school friend introduced him to drugs, and they start to take them together. In tears I implored the Virgin of Guadalupe to help me save my son. And she heard me. I show my gratitude with this retablo.

I was enjoying a vacation at the beaches of India when after an earthquake came the tsunami. I prayed the Virgin of Guadalupe so she would save me from death. Although, I was swept and suffered some injuries, miraculously I came out alive. I offer this in memory.

Thank you, Saint Jude Thaddeus, for saving me from this difficult and painful situation with my wife. She was about to leave me because I wasn’t able to satisfy her as a man. I prayed to you, and now she’s happy thanks to viagra. I started to take it and saved my marriage.

We thank you, Virgin of Guadalupe, for the happiness, love and friends we met in your country—nice and beautiful Mexico. We’ll remember only good things about the culture, customs and traditions, and we’ll keep it in our hearts.

May you be blessed, Virgin of Guadalupe, for making the miracle for me. Julio came back to me. He had left me for a woman. I prayed so much, and now we’re together again and we’re happy.

I bring the present retablo to Saint Jude Thaddeus for the miracle that I managed to buy a little car for myself, although I have to pay by installments. But it was a real martyrdom to run after the minibuses every day. And the worst part was that they were always crowded and I had to put up with smelly armpits and body sweats as well as elbowing and stomping.

I thank Saint Paschal Baylon with this retablo for having met my Maria. I love Mexican food, and she is an excellent cook. I used to travel a lot to Mexico for my work, then we met and got married and I stayed here. I’m very happy because she cooks for me, with great love, mole, quesadillas, chalupas, tacos and many other delicious dishes.

I thank my Holy Virgin for having given me strength and power to defend myself from my buddy Alberto Cruz when he wanted once again to take advantage of me while my husband was completely drunk.

Virgin of San Juan, I thank you because I found a job as a stripper. Thanks to that I can support my children. You know I do it not because I like it but out of necessity. And I ask you to protect me in such a tough profession.

I was coming back from the Xochimilco market in my boat feeling very happy because I had bought at a very good price five beautiful piglets to start breeding pigs with. My boat was old and quite damaged, so it started drowning because of the big weight. My piglets and I started drowning also. Thanks to the miracle of the Virgin of Zapopan—whom I’m very devoted to—we managed to float until we were saved by a tourist trajinera-boat. Although I lost my boat, I’m grateful that we are still alive and didn’t drown.
