Thank you, Our Father, for letting us get back to the convent. During our mission we were attacked by people who didn’t know any religion at all. However we hope you would forgive them.

My son Luisito became a sleepwalker and started walking on the roofs. I was scared he might fell and kill himself. I prayed to the Virgin of Zapopan so he would stop walking in his sleep. The Virgin, in her infinite grace, made the miracle, and Luis doesn’t sleepwalk anymore. I give thanks.

My wife and I, we were taking a nice calm walk in the park when suddenly, to my bad luck, we met my mistress. When the girls realized they were cheated on, they both jumped on me kicking like crazy. Thanks to Saint Charbel, there was a policeman near by, so he saved me. Otherwise, these women could’ve certainly sent me right to the hospital. I promised to behave good.

I’m infinitely grateful to Saint Anthony of Padua for giving me the talent of singing. Thanks to my beautiful voice and my serenades, I made my pretty Rosita fall in love with me. She is a very romantic person, and she loves when I’m singing under her balcony.

After a shipwreck, I found myself on a small island. I had only a boat to fish to survive. Suddenly two beautiful mermaids appeared from the sea. They apparently were in love with me. I don’t know if it was a hallucination, my nerves or just a pleasant dream. I thank the Virgin.

Fernando Tapia was very sick and couldn’t go out to the toilet. So he was making his business in a chamber pot. Suddenly a scorpion appeared from the pot and sat on a Fernando’s butt-cheek. He entrusted himself to the Lord of the Miracles so that the scorpion wouldn’t sting him and deteriorate his condition even more. Since the Lord made that miracle, Fernando offers this retablo.

I offer this retablo to Saint Martin the Cavalryman thanking him for my son Evaristo finally straightened his life up and found a job. He was already 35 years old, yet he did nothing but lay in the bed and listen his music. I couldn’t support him any longer.

The music is a very important to our family, and it’s with us every day. Even our animals enjoy the music, and there are more singing birds in our garden than in any other. I thank the Virgin of Zapopan for all this harmony and because my children are also good musicians.

I bring this retablo to Saint James the Apostle for letting me dedicate my life to what I’m really passion about—the wrestling. I thank for my successful career that was crowned that night when I won the mask of my arch-rival Dark Shadow, earning the admiration and applause of the audience.
