Suddenly the furniture began to move by itself, the doors and windows opened which gave me goosebumps. I dedicate this retablo to Saint Benedict because I escaped safe and sound from this house. I promise I’d be a good man and won’t steal ever again.

I was a cake man at my friends’ wedding. When it was my time to carry it I got so nervous that I stumbled and threw the cake. I give thanks to Saint Martin de Porres for it didn’t fall on the bride and they took the whole incident with humor, although I had to pay twice and went to buy another cake.
