Little Julio got in the pigsty and was bitten by a pig. He almost lost his arm. His mother prayed to the Virgin of San Juan for delivering the boy from losing his arm. The Virgin saved him. The grateful mother brings this retablo.

Rosario Mendiola was pregnant with her sixth child. She wanted to look for something in the cellar. But when she opened the door, hundreds of bats flew out and almost hit her in the face. Because of fear, she had feeling that she’d going to have a miscarriage. She prayed to the Virgin of Zapopan, and the Virgin helped her in this difficult moment. Rosario didn’t lose her baby, and she thanks for that.

Teodulo Fernandez got drunk and fell from a second-floor window right on a fence. His leg and his shoulder got pierced. He thanks the Virgin of Zapopan because he was saved by doctors. He offers this retablo as a testimony.

I used to cook chicken for my family because they liked it very much, and also I knew that chicken meat is very nutritious. But one day I was so tired, I fell asleep right in the kitchen. In my dream, I saw the ghosts of the chicken I had cooked. They looked at me with sadness, like they were reproaching me. I thank St. Francis for now on I cook fish and I have no more nightmares with the chicken ghosts.

Mrs. Mendes thanks the Virgin of Guadalupe because she finally saved enough money to buy a big TV. So now she enjoys watching her favorite tv-series.

I was desperate because my son wallowed in vice and drunkenness. I implored our Merciful Lord, and he worked the miracle. My son stopped drinking with his pals and now he’s working.

My parents forced me to marry a rich landowner whom I didn’t love. However on the day of the wedding, Jesus Lopez, whom I always loved, came back to the town. He abducted me right in front of the church and took me on his horse. I thank the Blessed Sacrament because we’ll be happy now.

Cirilo Tecanguey enjoyed playing pool for money. But one day he lost and couldn’t pay. He was beaten by three guys with cues. He thanks the Lord of the Wonders for he didn’t die.

I thank the Virgin of Guadalupe because my idol El Santo won an important fight against Blue Demon.
